Chichord Botanica: Leaf Log was built on one non-negotiable principle: your botanical data belongs to you and only you. This policy explains, in plain terms, what that means in practice.
None. Chichord Botanica: Leaf Log does not ask you to create an account, does not request your name or email address, does not access your location, and does not run any analytics. Every leaf count, lumens calculation, and hydration entry you type stays exactly where you typed it: on your own device.
Because nothing is collected, nothing is used, analyzed, aggregated, or sold. There is no server anywhere processing your data, because there is no server your data ever reaches. All calculations — light exposure, watering cadence, growth intervals — run entirely on-device, in real time, for your eyes only.
Your foliage ledger, room lumens readings, and hydration logs are stored locally on your device using standard on-device storage. We do not operate cloud infrastructure for this app, and we do not sync, mirror, or back up your entries to any remote server.
Chichord Botanica: Leaf Log contains no third-party analytics kits, no advertising networks, no tracking SDKs, and no embedded services of any kind. The app does not communicate with the internet to function.
Because your data never leaves your device, the greatest security safeguard is architectural: there is nothing to intercept in transit and no remote database to breach. We still recommend keeping your device's own lock screen and operating system updates enabled for general good practice.
Chichord Botanica: Leaf Log does not knowingly or unknowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data collection occurs at any point, the app is compliant with COPPA by design.
You are always in full control of your data. Every entry lives in local app storage that you can review, edit, or erase at any time. Deleting the app removes all associated data permanently — there are no backups, no linked accounts, and no remote copies to worry about.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect new features or clarify existing practices. Any changes will be reflected in the Effective Date above. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
